Mid-America Remote sensing Center changes name
Tags: July 7/2017
The Mid-America Remote sensing Center (MARC) is now the Mapping Applications and Resource Center (MARC). Since its establishment in 1979, MARC has been a pioneer in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques and remotely-sensed data to solve problems in a wide variety of fields, and in helping the department of geosciences to train numerous students who went on to contribute their skills to jobs in academic, public and private sector institutions. MARC continues to provide services and research in GIS, mapping, image processing and analysis, geospatial education and training to entities on campus, in the region and in the nation. MARC is located on the 4th floor of the Blackburn Science Building. For more information, contact Charletter Ellis, Executive Assistant, email@example.com; Michael Busby, Coordinator of GIS, firstname.lastname@example.org; or Dr. Robin Zhang, Director, email@example.com.
